Florida Scrub Jay??

I don't think my Blue Jays are Blue Jays. I think they are Florida Scrub Jays. Florida Scrub Jays

I have to see if I can get a better look. They are so fiesty, and fast. I just can't see them easily.

Stand by!

Blue Jays!

I had to wait a while after Boo passed before I posted again. I hope the appropriate amount of time has gone by.

I have a couple of Blue Jays. A Mama and Daddy are making a nest in my Oak tree. My goodness is it hard to catch a photo of them! Here are some sketchy ones. There is a blue one and a brown one - I think the female is the brown one, however I cannot find any data on this. I will. :)

In Memoriam - Boo - 1993 to 2010

Amanda's sweet little Boo passed away yesterday.

Although I never met him, Amanda has shared stories and photos with me over the time I have known her. We each have all-black cats, so we shared their trials and tribulations.

Boo was a tiny boy, just 6 pounds! How cute is that? Always like a kitten!!!

I am sure Amanda and her family will greatly miss their little Boo.

Good Bye Boo....You have Speck, Miss Runtie, and Timmy to play with.

Prayer For Boo

A friend of mine and this blog is Crafty Amanda. You have met her here in earlier posts.

Amanda has a cat named Boo, and he's not feeling well. This little ball of fluff is only 6 pounds! She's had him for 17 years.

Please say a prayer that Boo makes a speedy recovery. Here he is in 2002. What a darling baby!

We love you Boo! Get well soon!

Canadian Ducks

My Millie's neighbor Bonnie is trying to compete with me. (Look for a Canada Duck Tale blog soon!) DOH!

Bonnie has a lovely pool - the cover is still on, as the season isn't open.....for people anyway.....

The pool is open - for the Quackers!

Canadian Mourning Dove

My mother in law, a lovely woman from Canada, sent me the following photos of what appears to be a Mourning Dove making a nest in her neighbor's hanging basket. How cute is this?

THANKS MILLIE!

More Wood Stork

He keeps coming back. Just hangs out! Here he is again!

Stay tuned.

It's Spring and there is all kinds of "PlayBoy Mansion"
activities going on here. Just have to catch it!

Oh Boy~ I Have A BIG Problem.....

On Sunday morning, I was out back, enjoying a cup of coffee and hanging with Angel and The Girls.

When the ducks were babies, they used to peck at me...my ears, my feet, my hat, all over me. Very cute.

Sunday was no exception. Angel was pecking me on my back and eating my hair....then.......

HE MOUNTED ME!!!!! OMG! My Duck is trying to fock me!!!! YUCK! EW! SICK!

Well I can't go outside now. He is all over me. Guess I have been imprinted on him.

This is not good. No one wants to get focked by a duck. They have very long toe nails and the trust me, the hurt!!!

My favorite duck. DAMN!

He's just not very pretty is he??

Wood Stork! Up Close & Personal

So one day, the big Wood Stork was poking around in the neighbors yard. I was amazed. Two days later - he is on my patio. I tried to feed him several things but he just did not grasp the concept. Here he is. Not a very pretty bird and so scared.
